Residents in Nyala reported the appearance of advanced combat vehicles operating across the city during the Eid al-Adha holidays.
Residents said the modern armored vehicles are believed to belong to the Rapid Support Forces.
Images circulating online show heavily fortified vehicles with sharp-edged designs, reinforced front structures, and protective metal shielding.
The vehicles also appear equipped with strengthened side doors and covered combat turrets designed for operations in urban conflict zones.
Built for harsh terrain, the armored units use heavy-duty tires capable of moving through rough roads and desert conditions.
Local military authorities and municipal security officials have not issued any statement regarding the deployment or ownership of the vehicles.
Observers say the deployment reflects a visible increase in local military capabilities and may signal shifting dynamics on the ground.
