Rapid Support Forces distributes seeds to farmers in East Darfur

The Rapid Support Forces said Thursday it distributed seeds and farming equipment to small-scale farmers in Abu Jabra, East Darfur, Sudan.

The group said the initiative received support from the President of the Presidential Council of the Sudan Founding Alliance Government (TASIS).

RSF described the effort as part of broader support for local agricultural communities amid Sudan’s prolonged and devastating civil conflict.

Sudan’s war, now well into its third year, has displaced millions and pushed large parts of the country toward famine conditions.

East Darfur has repeatedly featured in reports of RSF territorial control since fighting erupted between the force and the Sudanese Armed Forces.

Humanitarian agencies have struggled to access affected regions, complicating verification of aid claims made by armed groups operating there.
