Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have accused the country’s government of harbouring ties to terrorist organizations like ISIS and Boko Haram.
In a statement released by the RSF’s official spokesperson, the group claimed that Sudan’s so-called foreign minister, Hussein Awad, has made “disgusting lies” by branding the RSF with ideological similarities to these extremist groups.
The RSF further underlined that the government’s approach is rooted in racial superiority and aims to establish a national homeland for the Arabs of Darfur and the African Sahel countries.
The group criticized the government for its past association with terrorist groups like ISIS and Boko Haram, highlighting the government’s involvement in financing militias affiliated with the dissolved National Congress regime.
The RSF emphasized that it represents the people’s only tool to resist the government’s attempts to control Sudan and return the country to a state of injustice and dictatorship.
The group pledged to continue its efforts to bring about comprehensive and just change for the Sudanese people, regardless of the costs and sacrifices involved.
