RSF arrests Burhan-linked suspects over drone strike

The Rapid Support Forces have shut down the main market in Umm Dukhun, in Central Darfur, and detained suspects linked to the General Abdel Fattah al Burhan’s army.

Local sources say the crackdown followed a drone strike which killed more than ten civilians and wounded several others.

One resident reported that RSF detained a number of people, including former soldiers, accusing them of cooperating with Burhan’s army units operating nearby.

He said those detained were taken to Nyala, while armed personnel sealed off the market after looting broke out in the aftermath of the bombing.
