RSF media, citing a military source, reported that Rapid Support Forces detained Major General Mohammed Ahmed al-Khadr, commander of General al-Burhan’s army’s 6th Infantry Division, following the RSF’s full takeover of the military headquarters in El Fasher, North Darfur state.
The move comes hours after the RSF announced it had secured control of the 6th Division, describing the operation as a strategic victory in its escalating confrontations with the SAF across Darfur.
General al-Burhan’s army (SAF) has not yet issued an official statement on the fate of Major General al-Khadr. Field sources indicate the arrest occurred during the storming of the headquarters in the city center after the collapse of the main defensive lines.
