The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have claimed a series of key victories in their operations across North Darfur, announcing control over several strategic northern areas on Thursday.
According to RSF reports, their forces successfully pushed back opposing troops, including those aligned with Minni Minnawi (SLM) and Gibril Ibrahim, who were attempting to reinforce their positions in El Fasher with hundreds of combat vehicles.
RSF officials reported intense fighting near Al-Malha on Tuesday, resulting in heavy losses for the rival forces, including over 450 casualties and the capture or destruction of 170 vehicles.
RSF leaders have ridiculed Minnawi and Ibrahim for what they describe as false reports of victories, accusing the two militia leaders of spreading disinformation to cover their losses.
The RSF highlighted their own forces’ ability to withstand sustained pressure, claiming their rivals’ attempts at regrouping have been effectively neutralized.
In statements following the clashes, RSF officials accused Minnawi and Ibrahim of betraying the Sudanese people by aligning with foreign interests, alleging that these groups are backed by remnants of the former regime.
The RSF has framed their campaign as a fight to dismantle a corrupt political system, vowing to establish a fair and just government in its place.
