RSF claims new gains in El Fasher, tightens siege on SAF Medical Corps

Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) said it captured new positions inside El Fasher, capital of North Darfur, and is tightening pressure around the SAF Medical Corps compound.

In a video posted on Telegram, the RSF said its units “continue to narrow the noose” on the military medical facility in the city. The claim could not be independently verified, and the SAF had not issued an immediate response.

El Fasher has been among the hardest-hit urban centers since the SAF–RSF war erupted in April 2023. The city has endured a prolonged siege by RSF forces, triggering a severe humanitarian crisis, according to official and UN reports.
