RSF clears deadly explosives from public sites in Babanusa

Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces field engineering teams have removed more than 2,000 landmines and unexploded devices from public facilities in Babanusa, officials said on Sunday.

The operation focused on schools, hospitals and administrative buildings, reducing risks that had long threatened civilians and disrupted daily life.

Residents said the clearance has improved safety and movement, offering a tentative step towards restoring normalcy in a town deeply affected by conflict.
