The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on Monday condemned a disturbing video circulating on social media that appears to show a combat vehicle running over a person during recent fighting in Sudan’s West Kordofan state.
RSF spokesman said in a statement that the footage, widely shared by local media, is “barbaric” and contradicts military and ethical values.
RSF announced an urgent investigation to verify the authenticity of the clip and to hold anyone involved accountable under the law.
The video, reportedly from battles in West Kordofan, has sparked widespread outrage online.
The RSF said it is committed to respecting the rules of war and protecting civilians.
