SAF airstrikes in Sudan’s Kordofan leave dozens of civilians casualties

For the second consecutive day, General Burhan’s army (SAF) has continued its air raids on residential neighborhoods in the city of Ghabish, North Kordofan State, Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) said on social media platform X on Tuesday.

The bombings have resulted in dozens of casualties, including the tragic death of a young girl and multiple injuries, RSF said.

The group also lambasted the deployment of explosive barrels by the SAF, which has caused significant destruction to civilian homes.

These repeated SAF airstrikes on urban and rural areas in Kordofan and Darfur highlight a disturbing pattern of systematic targeting with regional and ethnic implications, RSF said.

“The persistent attacks reveal the moral and strategic bankruptcy of the current regime, often referred to as the “Burhan gang,” which seems to be resorting to revenge tactics against unarmed civilians instead of engaging on the battlefield,” RSF said.

Justice will be relentlessly pursued, whether through legal avenues or on the battlefields from which they have fled, RSF added.
