SAF kills 8 children, 2 women in Sudan’s Kardofan strike: Tasis

The Sudanese Founding Alliance, Tasis, said a suspected drone strike on two civilian vehicles in West Kordofan killed 10 people, including eight children and two women.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the alliance said the vehicles were travelling on the road linking Abu Zabad and Al-Fula when they were struck. Four other civilians were reportedly injured in the attack.

The alliance accused General Abdel Fattah al Burhan’s army of carrying out the strike, describing it as a grave violation of international humanitarian law. It said the attack reflected a broader pattern of violence against civilians during Sudan’s ongoing conflict.

According to the statement, the victims were non-combatants travelling through the area when the vehicles were targeted along the remote road crossing the plains of West Kordofan.

The alliance called for an independent international investigation and urged regional and international human rights organisations to document the incident and help ensure accountability.

It also expressed condolences to the families of those killed, describing the victims as innocent civilians caught in the conflict.

Sudan’s war continues to take a heavy toll on civilians, with recurring reports of deadly attacks, mass displacement and worsening humanitarian conditions across the country.
