In the latest military assault on civilians, at least 30 people were killed and over 100 injured in airstrikes carried out by General al-Burhan’s forces (SAF) on Saturday in the Hamra al-Sheikh region of North Kordofan, according to a legal group.
The strikes targeted the Hamra al-Sheikh and Abu Zuama areas, key locations connecting the capital, Khartoum, to Darfur—areas frequently hit during the ongoing conflict.
Emergency Lawyers, a human rights organization, reported that over 100 people were also injured when General Burhan’s forces (SAF) warplanes dropped bombs on residential neighborhoods and a busy marketplace, causing significant civilian and livestock casualties.
Local sources said there was no RSF presence or military activity in the town.
