Saudi authorities have launched an official investigation into the alleged assault and abduction of Sudanese content creator Mohamed Mostafa, widely known as “Mohamed Al-Prince,” after conflicting accounts of the incident spread across social media, according to informed sources.
Sources said authorities moved to collect evidence and verify details after the case gained widespread public attention, stressing that the investigation is focused on establishing the full circumstances of the incident. They added that Saudi Arabia treats any case affecting public security with seriousness and that legal procedures are ongoing.
According to Al-Prince, the incident began after he received a phone call from an individual requesting a meeting. The visitor later arrived at his residence, where he was hosted and offered breakfast.
He said the situation escalated as he stepped outside to see the guest off, when he was suddenly confronted by a group of seven individuals who allegedly assaulted him. The attack resulted in a broken collarbone, he said, adding that the group then seized his mobile phone under threat before fleeing.
