Maj. Gen. Siddiq Barah Musa, a prominent founding figure in the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) led by Jibril Ibrahim, was killed on Tuesday along with six other JEM officers during fighting with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in El Fasher, local sources said.
Residents reported intense battles across the city as RSF units pressed toward the SAF’s 6th Infantry Division. JEM and the RSF did not immediately comment.
