Sources confirmed on Thursday that Mustafa Qarnit, a senior commander within the Joint Force, allied with Burhan’s army, has gone missing amid the latest fighting in the Kordofan states, where clashes continue between General al-Burhan’s army (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), with the Joint Force participating alongside the SAF.
The disappearance of Qarnit marks a significant setback for the Joint Force, occurring at a time when battles across multiple fronts in Kordofan have intensified.
The Joint Force has been fighting alongside the SAF in heavy confrontations with the RSF, as the conflict expands across several fronts marked by frequent and intense clashes.
This development is viewed as one of the more consequential turns in the ongoing conflict, with potential implications for the balance of power on the ground.
