SLM-TC urges El-Fasher civilians to flee to safer areas

The Sudan Liberation Movement–Transitional Council (SLM-TC), led by Al-Hadi Idris, has reiterated calls for civilians in El-Fasher and surrounding displacement camps to flee the escalating conflict and move toward areas under the group’s control, including Korma, Ain Siro, and other safer locations in North Darfur.

In a statement addressed to the UN Secretary-General, the group declared El-Fasher a “military operations zone,” noting that the majority of civilians have already fled the city. The SLM-TC appealed for urgent humanitarian aid to be delivered to affected populations now concentrated in areas such as Korma, Tawila, Kutum, Ain Siro, Kabkabiya, and Jebel Marra.

Meanwhile, the Sudan Founding Alliance Forces reported an influx of civilians escaping intense fighting in El-Fasher. The alliance said it had mobilized emergency medical teams, transportation, and shelter for thousands of displaced people fleeing what it described as worsening humanitarian conditions under the control of armed factions.
