State media reported the sudden dismissals late Wednesday, marking another abrupt reshuffle within Kiir’s government leadership structure in Juba officially.

Fired army chief General Paul Nang had served since October and faced rising scrutiny amid worsening national insecurity conditions growing.
Finance minister Salvatore Garang Mabiordit had served since April 23 before his abrupt dismissal in the reshuffle this government shake-up.
Kiir reappointed General Santino Deng Wol as army chief returning a trusted ally to the post once again firmly position.
Wol from Bahr el Ghazal and a close ally of Kiir previously served in the role between 2020 and 2024.
Kuol Daniel Ayulo a career technocrat and former undersecretary in key ministries has been appointed the new finance minister post.
