The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement–North (SPLM-N), led by Abdelaziz al-Hilu, said its forces—coordinating with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF)—have imposed a complete siege on the towns of Dalang and Kadugli in South Kordofan state.
In a statement carried by Al-Mashhad Al-Sudani, the movement said the road linking the two towns was recently cut following what it described as tightly planned military operations, warning that the developments could lead to what it called “decisive” battlefield shifts.
The announcement comes as fighting escalates in parts of South Kordofan, raising concerns about potential humanitarian and security consequences for civilians in areas affected by the reported blockade.
