Sudan army chief’s son in critical condition after accident in Turkey

Mohamed Fattah al-Burhan Rahman, the son of Sudan’s army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle accident when he collided with a light commercial vehicle in front of him.

Rahman was violently thrown onto the road during the crash, his body dragging on dirt road for meters.

The accident occurred Thursday evening on Kiraz Boulevard in Kızılcasar district of the capital Ankara.

The impact caused the motorcycle to overturn, leading Rahman to be thrown several meters. Prompted by witnesses, health and police teams rushed to the scene.

Following a paramedic assessment indicating severe injuries, Rahman received initial first aid on-site before being transported to Bilkent City Hospital by ambulance.

The driver of the light commercial vehicle was detained.

Currently admitted to the hospital’s intensive care unit, Rahman remains in a critical condition, with his life hanging in the balance.
