Authorities in Sudan’s Al-Fashqa border region said security conditions along the frontier with Ethiopia remain stable, with daily life continuing normally despite regional tensions.
The announcement followed an inspection of intermediate certificate examination centres in Al-Lakdi, where officials reviewed safety preparations and ordered intensified security measures to protect students and staff.
According to state media, security forces were instructed to maintain heightened vigilance to ensure exams proceed in a calm and controlled environment, reflecting efforts to preserve stability and public services in the sensitive border area.
