The Sudanese Embassy in Cairo announced an extension of the 30 percent discount on passport fees for citizens living abroad.
The reduction applies to all applications submitted through diplomatic missions between April 1 and June 30, 2026.
Officials stressed that applicants must book appointments in advance, warning that unbooked requests will not be accepted.
The embassy said the measure aims to simplify consular procedures and ease the financial burden on Sudanese expatriates.
Authorities described the move as part of wider efforts to make essential services more accessible to citizens overseas.
The decision has been welcomed by expatriates who rely on diplomatic offices for timely passport renewals and official documentation.
Embassy staff noted that the fee reduction reflects ongoing attention to citizens’ needs and support for the diaspora community.
Applicants are encouraged to schedule visits promptly, as slots may be limited during the three-month discounted period.
The initiative follows similar measures in recent years, underlining Sudan’s commitment to easing bureaucratic processes for its overseas population.
Officials urged residents to stay updated via embassy communications and prepare all required documents ahead of their appointments.
