Sudanese junta delegation and Emirati representatives held an unannounced meeting in Bahrain this week aimed at easing tensions between the two countries.
Egyptian and Emirati sources said the talks were exploratory and focused on reopening communication channels after months of political strain.
The meeting reportedly involved lower-level representatives under Bahraini mediation, without senior officials from either side.
A source close to Sudan’s junta said informal contacts between Khartoum and Abu Dhabi have continued, with army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan aware of the efforts.
