Sudan’s ambassador presents credentials to Moroccan King

Ambassador Mouda Omar Haj Eltom presented her credentials to King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco at the Royal Palace in Rabat as the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to the Kingdom of Morocco.

The ambassador conveyed greetings from Sudan to the Moroccan King and expressed her determination to enhance cooperation between the two brotherly countries in various fields.

King Mohammed VI expressed his wishes for the success of the ambassador in her mission, praising the strong fraternal relations between the two countries.

Sudan’s ambassador expressed her joy at representing Sudan as an ambassador to Morocco, highlighting the strong ties between the two countries, especially in terms of their Arab, African, and Islamic affiliations. She noted the similarities in customs and traditions between Sudan and Morocco, including shared Sufi practices and other religious traditions.

Ambassador Eltom pointed to recent collaborative efforts, including the granting of hundreds of scholarships to Sudanese students by the Moroccan government. She acknowledged the role of the Sudanese Graduates Association from Moroccan universities in strengthening the fraternal ties between the two nations.

She mentioned Sudan’s initiative for Arab food security and the potential for benefiting from Morocco’s technological advancements in agriculture and fisheries.

The ambassador underscored Sudan’s commitment to developing economic and trade relations and cultural ties, mentioning collaboration with UNESCO and plans for future initiatives in various fields. Eltom expressed optimism about the future, expecting more progress in all areas of cooperation between Sudan and Morocco.
