The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) issued a strong condemnation against al Burhan’s army (SAF) and associated extremist factions on Wednesday for launching indiscriminate airstrikes on civilian populations in Darfur and Kordofan.
According to the RSF statement, more than 20 air strikes have been carried out in the past 72 hours, targeting towns, villages, and communities across the region.
The bombings have resulted in significant damage to residential areas and civilian infrastructure, worsening an already critical humanitarian crisis.
The RSF has accused the al Burhan’s army of deliberately targeting civilians to incite ethnic tensions and deepen divisions within Sudan.
“Residential areas and essential civilian infrastructure have been severely damaged, worsening an already critical humanitarian crisis. Entire communities are being torn apart, and lives shattered as the violence spirals out of control,” the statement added.
They have also condemned the al Burhan’s army alliance with extremist forces, which they believe is undermining the credibility and integrity of the national military.
RSF said that the Forces are committed to protecting the lives of Sudanese citizens and restoring the army as a dignified institution, free from extremist influence.
They have called for an end to the violence and a return to peace and stability in Sudan.
