Abdul Wahid Mohamed Ahmed Al-Nur, leader of the Sudan Liberation Movement, has embarked on a European tour to mobilise support for ending Sudan’s brutal war and strengthening humanitarian aid efforts.
During his visit, Al-Nur will meet senior European officials, members of parliament, and representatives from international and human rights organisations to discuss coordinated steps toward peace.
He is expected to call on European governments to play a greater role in mediating between Sudan’s warring factions and ensuring protection for civilians caught in the conflict.
Movement spokesman Mohammed Abdel Rahman Al-Nayer said the tour reflects a strategic and humanitarian push to achieve a comprehensive, just peace and to tackle the roots of Sudan’s long-standing crisis.
He added that the initiative aligns with recent regional and international appeals for a unified approach to restoring stability in the country.
Al-Nur’s discussions will also focus on human rights abuses, displacement, and the urgent need to establish safe corridors for the delivery of humanitarian aid.
In parallel, he plans to hold meetings with the movement’s European offices to brief them on recent developments and to strengthen organisational coordination abroad.
Accompanied by senior movement figures, including Abdul Razzaq Muhammad Ishaq and Jalal Ali Muhammad Ali, Al-Nur’s mission signals renewed determination to engage the global community in Sudan’s peace process.
His European tour underscores a broader message — that sustainable peace in Sudan depends not only on internal dialogue but also on sustained international commitment to end the suffering of its people.
