The Sudanese Founding Alliance welcomed the Sudanese Congress Party’s signing of the Sudanese Founding Charter during a ceremony in Nairobi on Monday, December 15, 2025.
The coalition described the move as a sign of its broad support and as a reflection of Sudanese voices, particularly from marginalized regions.
In a press statement, the alliance said the party’s joining shows that the charter captures the aspirations of Sudanese citizens nationwide.
The statement noted that the charter and its constitution reflect the hopes of those who rose against tyranny in December 2018, honouring the sacrifices made for freedom, peace, and justice.
The alliance blamed the ongoing war on forces from the former regime and “terrorist groups” seeking to block Sudan’s political change, saying the revolution confronted them with popular strength and support from national actors.
“The voice of the revolution, the truth, and the people must rise above all others,” the coalition said.
It affirmed that tyranny will not prevail and that the revolution will continue steadfastly toward its goals. Dr. Alaa El-Din Awad Naqd, the alliance’s official spokesman, concluded that the revolution remains unstoppable and its victory inevitable.
