TASIS alliance seizes key South Kordofan junction

Recent military advances in South Kordofan indicate a significant shift in battlefield dynamics, with direct implications for supply lines between the warring parties, according to media.

Kadugli, field sources said on Tuesday that the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement led by Abdelaziz al Hilu, operating under the umbrella of the TASIS alliance, took control earlier today of the strategic Keiga crossroads on the Kadugli–Dilling road in South Kordofan. The area was seized following a large scale attack supported by drones.

Sources said the consolidation of control over the junction has severed administrative communication and disrupted military coordination between the SAF 14th Infantry Division command and the 54th Brigade.

Platforms affiliated with the Rapid Support Forces published video footage they said showed their forces present inside the area.

In recent weeks, the city of Kadugli has come under sustained shelling by the Rapid Support Forces and the SPLM faction, using heavy artillery and drones.

Kadugli is facing worsening humanitarian conditions due to the continued siege, shortages of food and medical supplies, and the deterioration of basic services. The delivery of humanitarian aid has also been severely hampered by security restrictions on movement, according to media.
