TASIS appeals for joint action to end Sudan’s suffering, conflict

The Council of Ministers of the “Foundation” government or TASIS has called for an immediate end to the wars and the prolonged suffering of the Sudanese people. In a statement issued on Friday, the Council welcomed the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, describing it as a step toward regional peace and stability.

The government expressed its readiness to cooperate fully with international efforts, particularly the Quartet initiative, which seeks to end the devastating war in Sudan and restore political dialogue. It urged all Sudanese factions to prioritise the national interest over political disputes and to work collectively for peace, justice, and reconciliation.

The statement also praised the efforts of the United States and President Donald Trump for what it described as “notable contributions” toward achieving peace in the region and around the world. TASIS government officials emphasised that Sudan’s path to stability depends on international cooperation and the sincere commitment of all sides to halt the bloodshed.

They reaffirmed the government’s willingness to support every initiative that promises to lift the suffering of the Sudanese people and to pave the way for a lasting political settlement.
