TASIS: Drone hits civilian gathering in Mazroub, kills Maganin tribe chief

Sudan’s Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS) condemned what it called a terrorist drone strike on Friday against civilian gatherings in Mazroub, North Kordofan, an area it says is under its control, alleging the attack killed “dozens,” including the chief of the Maganin tribe and several community leaders.

In a statement, TASIS accused what it described as the “Islamist army” aligned with the Port Sudan-based SAF junta of deliberately targeting civilians and committing repeated violations in Kordofan and Darfur. The alliance called on international and regional bodies and human rights organisations to condemn the “massacres” and take urgent steps to halt grave abuses it said breach international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions.

“The loss of the Maganin chief and other citizens is added to the record of violations by the terrorists’ army,” the statement said. It held leaders of the Islamist movement and the “hijacked” SAF responsible for attacks on unarmed civilians.
