TASIS prime minister moved to tears in emotional reunion

Mohamed Hassan al-Taayshi embraces his teacher and uncle, Mohamed Adam

Sudan’s TASIS Prime Minister Mohamed Hassan al-Taishi reportedly became emotional during a reunion with his former teacher and uncle, Mohamed Adam, in a personal encounter shared on social media.

Footage circulated by Sudan Mix reportedly captures the moment al-Taishi met the man described as having played an important role in his early education and political development.

According to the accompanying account, Mohamed Adam was among those who helped shape al-Taishi’s political awareness and influenced the path he would later pursue in public life.

The Facebook post said al-Taishi was moved to tears during the encounter, describing the reunion as a moment of gratitude and recognition for someone who had guided him during his formative years.

The account presented the meeting as a reminder of the enduring influence of teachers and mentors, even after their students reach positions of political responsibility.

Al-Taishi heads the Government of Peace and Unity established by the Sudan Founding Alliance, known as TASIS, in July 2025. The administration operates in areas controlled by the alliance, including parts of Darfur.

A former member of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council, al-Taishi has emerged as a leading civilian figure in the TASIS administration amid the country’s continuing conflict.
