TASIS says Port Sudan drone strike kills, 35 civilians, RSF adviser

Sudan’s RSF-linked “Tasis” government said a drone strike by Port Sudan forces hit Firdaws village in Central Darfur, killing a senior Rapid Support Forces figure and more than 35 civilians, most of them women, children and elderly people.

In a statement, the Tasis described the attack as deliberate and accused Port Sudan’s military command of targeting community leaders and inflaming local tensions. It named two leaders it said were killed in the strike: Hamed Ali Abu Bakr and Ramadan Salim.

Separate reporting by Al Arabiya/Al Hadath affiliates said the strike targeted a field meeting near Zalingei, and that Abu Bakr—described as an RSF security adviser in Darfur—was killed along with several aides.

The “Tasis” statement called the incident a war crime and said dozens were wounded. The casualty figure and circumstances could not be independently verified. There was no immediate comment from Port Sudan authorities in the reports reviewed.
