The Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasis) said General al-Burhan’s army (SAF) carried out a drone attack on civilians in Feyo, an area south of Habila in South Kordofan’s Nuba Mountains, and condemned the incident as “terrorist attack”
In a statement circulated by the alliance, Tasis alleged that a convoy in Feyo was struck on Friday, January 16, 2026, by a drone it said belonged to “jihadist terrorists” linked to Sudan’s Islamic Movement and the Muslim Brotherhood. The group said the area hosts unarmed civilians who fled active military zones, and claimed the victims had refused to be used as “human shields.”
Tasis said the bombing killed four men, six children and three women, and left dozens wounded. It called on the international community and regional actors to end what it described as silence in the face of attacks on civilians.
The alliance said it would continue efforts to protect civilians and oppose the SAF and its allies, framing its position as part of Sudan’s ongoing revolution and demands for “freedom, peace and justice.”
