A senior adviser to U.S. President Donald Trump on Arab and African affairs, Masad Boulos, condemned what he called a “brutal” attack on three World Food Programme trucks on Wednesday in North Darfur, Sudan.
In a post on X, Boulos said the assault destroyed food intended for people facing famine. “We continue to call for unhindered humanitarian access and the protection of civilians. Perpetrators of any violations of international humanitarian law must be held accountable,” he wrote.
Boulos did not attribute responsibility for the strike. The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and TASIS alliance both blamed General al-Burhan’s army (SAF) of carrying out the attack on Wednesday.
