Turkey’s Ambassador to Khartoum, Fatih Yildiz, has underscored the vital role Turkish institutions play in Sudan, affirming steadfast support for the Sudanese people during testing times.
Speaking to Anadolu Agency, Yildiz emphasized Turkey’s unwavering solidarity, stating, “Despite these challenging and exceptional circumstances, we are making every effort to convey the message that Turkey stands alongside Sudan with all its institutions.”
The ambassador reflected on the enduring partnership between the two nations, highlighting the Turkish Embassy’s ongoing activities in Sudan.
Turkey’s embassy remains one of the few diplomatic missions actively operating in Port Sudan.
Yildiz pointed out its broad scope, saying, “Our embassy encompasses a comprehensive representation, including military attachés, interior affairs, and education advisors.”
He stressed the deep historical ties binding the peoples of Turkey and Sudan, noting that these ties continue to strengthen even amid adversity.
“Our primary mission here is to demonstrate our solidarity with both the Sudanese government and the people,” Yildiz said.
