US adviser outlines Berlin conference plans on Sudan

Massad Boulos, adviser to US President Donald Trump on African affairs, said preparations are underway for the third international conference on Sudan, set to take place in Berlin on April 15.

The conference coincides with the third anniversary of the outbreak of war in Sudan.

Boulos said he discussed the ongoing arrangements with Jens Hanefeld, Germany’s ambassador to the United States, including the roles of participating parties involved in hosting the conference.

In a post on X, Boulos added that the talks also focused on key priorities at the current stage, particularly improving humanitarian access and advancing the political process toward a sustainable resolution to the crisis.

He stressed the importance of maintaining current international momentum, calling for stronger coordination among global partners to ensure the conference’s success.

Boulos said continued joint efforts are essential to addressing the Sudan crisis and alleviating the suffering of the Sudanese people.
