Musad Boulos, the US president’s senior adviser for Arab and African affairs, said Washington and Riyadh have demonstrated “practical alignment” on efforts to end the war in Sudan and create a dialogue framework to resolve a crisis that has triggered what he described as the world’s largest displacement wave.
In comments to Al Arabiya.net, Boulos said his meeting with Saudi Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman was “productive” and covered regional crises, including the Sudan file.
He added that the United States is working with Saudi Arabia through the “international Quad” to advance peace efforts in Sudan.
