The United States has urged General al-Burhan’s army (SAF) to take part in the US-brokered ceasefire talks that commenced on Wednesday in Switzerland.
Currently, only the rival Rapid Support Forces are involved in the discussions, aimed at ending the ongoing conflict.
“We have emphasized that they have a responsibility to participate, and we’ll continue to make that clear,” said State Department spokesman Vedant Patel during a press briefing.
