
Kuwait has welcomed the Quad’s joint statement supporting a peaceful resolution to Sudan’s conflict, Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya said, praising the efforts of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the United States.
In remarks carried by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Yahya reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to Sudan’s unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to broader regional peace and stability. He said the Quad’s initiative aligns with Kuwait’s position in favor of a ceasefire, safe humanitarian access, and protection of civilians and infrastructure.
The minister also urged serious negotiations grounded in the Jeddah Declaration and relevant international resolutions. With this endorsement, Kuwait joins other states welcoming the Quad’s move and voicing support for Sudanese aspirations for security, peace and sustainable development.
