At least ten Sudanese civilians were killed and over 30 wounded in an army air strike on Sunday in southern Khartoum, according to local rescue workers.
The airstrike targeted a market area, marking the third such attack in the region within a month.
The Emergency Response Room (ERR), a network of volunteer aid workers, reported that many of the victims suffered severe burns and were transported to Bashair Hospital.
The ongoing conflict between General Abdel Fattah al Burhan’s army (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has devastated the country since April 2023, with tens of thousands of lives lost.
The violence has been particularly intense in Khartoum, forcing millions to flee their homes.
This latest incident highlights the escalating humanitarian crisis in Sudan and the urgent need for a cessation of hostilities and a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
