General Burhan’s SAF massacres entire family in Omdurman

General al-Burhan’s army (SAF) have been accused of killing an entire family, including a father, mother, and five children—two of whom were just four-month-old twins—in the Salha area south of Omdurman, according to a statement from the Sudanese Congress Party (SCoP).

The party confirmed that the crime was carried out by the Special Action Unit of the SAF, just days after the military announced its control of the area.

The family, including a baby girl and the twins, were reportedly killed in their home in a cold-blooded attack.

SCoP condemned the incident as part of a broader pattern of military violations in conflict zones, highlighting the lack of discipline and accountability within SAF-affiliated units. The party also pointed to the growing danger civilians face in the absence of the rule of law.

The Sudanese Congress Party has called for a transparent investigation into the attack, demanding that the SAF be held fully responsible for the deaths and that the perpetrators be brought to justice. The party further reiterated its demand for an immediate end to hostilities, disarmament of violent units, and a return to a civil political process to address the ongoing crisis.
