Dagalo chairs first session of TASIS Presidential Council in Nyala

Chairman of the Presidential Council of the Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS), Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, chaired the council’s first session in Nyala, South Darfur, on Saturday, with all members present following their swearing-in ceremony and formal declaration.

The meeting confirmed the appointment of Mohamed Hassan Osman al-Ta’aishi as Prime Minister and addressed priorities for the transitional phase of the Peace Government. Discussions centered on easing living conditions for citizens, restoring essential services, strengthening security and stability, and tackling humanitarian challenges.

Deputy Chairman Abdelaziz Adam al-Hilu said the session also reviewed the council’s roadmap, strategic plans to complete governance structures, and efforts to confront pressing political and economic challenges.

This inaugural session marks the start of a new institutional phase under TASIS’s Peace Government, signaling a shift toward decentralized governance and national reconciliation.
