Cities in Darfur, Kordofan mark 3rd day of rallies after El Fasher capture

For a third straight day, crowds rallied in several cities across Darfur and Kordofan to celebrate the Rapid Support Forces’ (RSF) capture of General al-Burhan army’s Sixth Infantry Division in El Fasher, according to organizers and pro-RSF local authorities.

Marches were reported in Nyala, Ed-Daein, Zalingei and El-Geneina, as well as El-Fula and En-Nahud in West Kordofan. Demonstrators chanted in support of the RSF and the Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasis), urging continued operations against what they described as the Port Sudan “de facto” government and remnants of the former regime.

Participants congratulated RSF commander and Presidential Council chair Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo and senior RSF/Tasis leaders, hailing the fall of the 6th Infantry Division as a “significant victory.” Rally speakers called for a unified national army and a secular, federal system based on “freedom, peace and justice.”
