Senior Burhan official visits ally nation amid rising front-line battles

A senior member of Sudan’s General Abdel Fattah al Burhan led authority in Port Sudan has travelled to a ‘friendly’ country to discuss new security and military agreements, informed sources said.

The visit follows a Security and Defense Council meeting in Khartoum, chaired by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, as clashes intensify across multiple fronts.

Local reports said Sudan’s worsening conflict has pushed its leadership to seek international backing to strengthen the army’s capabilities.

During the meeting, al-Burhan welcomed international efforts to end the conflict and thanked the United States, represented by presidential advisor Massad Boulos, for supporting peace initiatives.

The council formed a committee to draft a national plan aimed at improving humanitarian access and restoring stability in coordination with international partners.

The session concluded with an assessment of the security situation, reaffirming the army’s readiness to launch further operations to restore order across the country.
