The G7 has condemned the escalating violence in Sudan, calling the conflict the world’s largest humanitarian crisis.
The African nation’s General Abdel Fattah al Burhan’s army and rival Rapid Support Forces have clashed, leaving civilians trapped amid chaos and destruction.
In a joint statement, G7 foreign ministers expressed deep concern over the sharp rise in killings and civilian suffering.
The ministers highlighted the alarming surge in sexual violence, describing it as a tragic consequence of the ongoing war.
The condemnation came at the conclusion of a high-level meeting in Canada, where leaders called for urgent international action.
The G7 urged all parties in Sudan to immediately cease hostilities and allow humanitarian aid to reach those in need.
Officials stressed that the world cannot ignore the mounting human toll and the collapse of basic services across Sudan.
