Egypt grants 500 visas to Sudanese university students

Sudan’s Prime Minister’s Office announced that efforts led by Sovereignty Council President Kamil Idris have secured 500 entry visas for Sudanese students admitted to Egyptian universities for the current academic year.

According to the statement, the visas were granted following direct coordination with Egyptian authorities. The office praised Egypt’s cooperation in easing study procedures for Sudanese students, saying the move strengthens academic ties between the two countries and expands access to higher education for young Sudanese.

The development comes amid growing attention to the situation of Sudanese students abroad, particularly during the country’s ongoing crisis. Facilitating university admission and study opportunities in Egypt is seen as a practical step to support Sudan’s education sector.
