TASIS denies death rumours about journalist Muammar Ibrahim

The Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasis) has denied widespread social media rumours claiming that Sudanese journalist Muammar Ibrahim has died while under investigation by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

Alliance spokesperson Alaa al-Din Awad Naqd said the reports circulating online were “false rumours” with no basis in fact.

Speaking to Al Jazeera Mubasher, Naqd said Muammar is “fine, and in safety and security”, stressing that he has not been harmed and that the alliance is in continuous contact regarding his situation.

In recent hours, social media users shared unverified claims alleging Muammar’s death, without citing any official sources. Tasis has categorically rejected these claims and reaffirmed that the journalist remains alive and under investigation.
