The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) said they had arrested a “sleeper cell” in East Darfur attempting to move to General Abdel Fattah al Burhan’s army-held areas.
In a video statement, the RSF reported that a joint operation recovered weapons from the group as it advanced toward Burhan’s army positions.
The arrest underscores escalating tensions between Burhan’s army and the RSF, with both sides accusing each other of covert operations.
