Khartoum is teetering on the brink as Sudanese political leader Mubarak Al-Fadil Al-Mahdi warns the country is sliding towards total collapse.
In his remarks, Al-Fadil said that nearly half of Sudan is under the control of the Rapid Support Forces, underscoring the army’s failure under General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan.
He cautioned that the continuation of the war without urgent political reconciliation could fracture the state and plunge civilians into uncontrolled chaos.
The loss of key cities, he added, reflects a sharp decline within Burhan’s army.
Al-Fadil criticised Burhan’s leadership for previously entrusting internal security to the Rapid Support Forces and failing to confront realities on the battlefield.
