Fighting intensified across Sudan this week, with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) said fresh advances in South and North Kordofan, according to a statement released by the group.
The RSF said its forces had also seized the Jarjirah area in North Darfur after several days of what it described as fierce clashes.
The claims could not be independently verified, but they point to a rapidly shifting battlefield and a growing human toll.
The RSF alleged that more than 370 rival fighters were killed, and that weapons, vehicles and large stocks of ammunition were captured.
It said its forces moved swiftly to secure Jarjirah, setting up new outposts to consolidate control and protect nearby civilians.
Residents in North Darfur have repeatedly reported acute shortages of food and medicine, as well as the absence of safe routes to flee, while armed groups battle for territory.
The RSF said its forces are now advancing on several fronts towards what it called the remaining strongholds of rival forces.
Analysts warn that battlefield statements often exaggerate gains, even as civilians continue to pay the highest price of a prolonged conflict.
As gunfire echoes across Kordofan and Darfur, Sudan’s future remains deeply uncertain, with its people caught between competing struggles for power and peace.
