Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) said in a statement that the group has completed preparations for a major new military operation against Islamist-held positions.
In a statement, the group said forces from the “Al Haqq Al Mubeen” movement are ready to confront militias linked to the Muslim Brotherhood and allied fighters.
The RSF framed the planned action as an effort to dismantle what it called “terrorist networks” operating in contested areas.
The statement did not specify where or when the operation might take place, or how large it would be.
The announcement comes as fighting drags on across the country, deepening displacement and humanitarian suffering in communities already worn down by months of violence.
